On Thursday June 26,2014, one of New York’s leading hip-hop and R&B radio stations, Hot 97, presented a music showcase dubbed “Who’s Next Live.” With Tinashe headlining and performances by top talents like Mapei, Kreesha Turnerwill, and Too Many Zooz, the show was nothing short of sweet. First up was Harlem’s very own “Too Many Zooz,” the extraordinary subway musical trio, their powerful sounds had the crowd bumping. Next came Kreesha Turnerwill, the Jamaican-Canadian bombshell who gave the crowd a course of spicy Caribbean flavor with her leading hit “MJ.” Mapei, a multi-talented artist who spits and sings wowed the audience with her awesome vocals. Finally, Tinashe took over the stage with super stadium style energy and racy riffs that left the crowd wanting more. The Who’s Next music showcase took place at the iconic SOB’s in New York City and was hosted by Hot 97’s own Rosenberg and Shani Kulture with DJ Juanyto on the turntables. The showcase was built to serve as a platform for new artists to show off their musical talents to industry insiders and fans.
