These days there’s more than one way to skin the cat, but the most popular is waxing. We know it’s super painful and very awkward, but the results are long lasting and smoother than a baby’s bottom. Use these helpful tricks for fuzz-free maintenance this Summer.
1. Prepare
Make sure your hair is at least a quarter of an inch before you wax—most waxes won’t adhere to hair shorter than that.
2. Exfoliate
Dead skin can easily clog hair follicles and cause ingrown hairs. So exfoliating the area will minimize future bumps and scars. But remember to wait at least 24 hours before you exfoliate your newly waxed bikini area.
3. Treat with salicylic acid
To prevent ingrown hairs, pimples and skin blemishes treat the area with a salicylic acid cleanser.
4. Tweeze
Remove dark hairs with tweezers or trim longer hairs with a scissor.
5. Fake it!
To give the illusion of a flawless bikini line, use a sunless tanner or bronzer to blend stubble with your skin.
