Jackie Paul is not only the wife of NBA player Jason Richardson but she is also the owner of the online boutique shoppureaddiction.com. In addition to being a devoted wife and loving mother-of-two, she is hands-on with every aspect of her online boutique. As a successful business woman, she never compromises time spent with her family.

How did PUREaddiction get started?
I was originally going to franchise Teresa’s store Taste in Colorado. We were having problems finding a commercial space and then the economy crashed. After consulting with my marketing group, we decided to utilize my technical background and try online. I felt like that was the best way to go considering I am a full time mom that needs to be accessible for my children.
How did you end up partnering with Bow Wow’s mother Teresa Caldwell?
Teresa and I have been friends for awhile. After deciding that opening a franchise store was no longer an option, her and I discussed partnership after she closed her store in Atlanta. Now, all the items that were featured in her store can be found on shoppureaddiction.com.
How are you able to juggle being a basketball wife, mother-of-two and the owner of a online boutique?
Because everything is done online, I am able to pretty much work from home. I oversee everything that is involved with the business. If there are customer service issues, issues with shipping or anything concerning the business, I am constantly receiving emails and updates to find a resolution. Having a business online allows me to be hands-on with my family, and because of that, I am available to coach my son’s basketball team and catch a red eye to watch my husband play.
Do you have any projects in the works or any new business ventures?
I don’t really have any new projects in the works however, I am putting a lot more energy into marketing for shoppureaddiction.com. With the constant movement of social media, I always have to be on top of what’s current.
What is your opinion on Vh1’s Basketball Wives and would you ever consider joining the cast?
I try to catch the show whenever I have time. I am actually really good friends with Shaunie [O’Neal], and she asked me if I wanted to be apart of the cast. But with me being pretty much stationary in Colorado, I wasn’t able to join. However, I did tell Shaunie if I were ever in town while the show was filming, I could make a cameo. I do feel that a lot of the drama on the show is the women naturally reacting to certain situations, and because it’s reality TV, the camera catches everything. It’s hard to take back a natural reaction.
Would you ever consider adding cosmetics to PUREAddiction? For example, Jennifer William’s Lucid lip gloss or Evelyn’s makeup line?
That could be a possibility in the future. I know that Teresa is working closely with Evelyn on a potential dress line that could be featured on the site once it launches.
Shoppureaddiction.com is a great source for finding the latest in trends, for clothes and accessories. They exclusively carry Ha’Ny bracelets–handmade, one- of-a-kind pieces–that were worn by Evelyn Lozada on an episode of Basketball Wives.
