Jay-Z received his first lesson in not having his cake and eat it too.
According to Forbes, the rap mogul has to sell his estimated $1.5 million stake in the Barclay Center even after he sold his minority stake in the Brooklyn Nets to its new owner Jason Kidd.
His double loss comes after a mega gain. As reported in April, Beyonce’s hubby created his own sports agency, Roc Nation Sports with a roster of a-lister clientele including Victor Cruz, Kevin Durant, and Skylar Diggins. This change means Blue Ivy will no longer call the Nets her team or the Barclays her home, but that doesn’t mean baby royalty will abandon it completely. “My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun,” Jay stated in April when he gave up his first ownership. “I’m a Brooklyn Net forever.”
You can check him headlining his former building in January during his Magna Carter Tour.
