Honestly, we can’t tell you the last time we stepped into a JC Penney, but in the past six months they’ve upped their game and we’re all for it.
In an effort to attract more fashion-conscious consumers, JC Penney has partnered with Nigerian-born, London-based designer Duro Olowu to offer clothing and accessories in a multitude of patterns, hues and textures for a limited time. Duro Olowu for JCP is inspired by American classics with global flair and consists of more than 70 pieces in apparel, home and accessories, all of which retail for under $100.
Other brands added include Justin Timberlake’s William Rast, L’Amour Nanette Lepore and Joe Fresh.
“We want to become famous for irresistible style at incredible value every day,” said Ron Johnson, chief executive officer of jcpenney. “By introducing these exciting brands at truly affordable prices, we are making it easier for customers to look and live better every day.”
