Just in time for National LGBT Pride Month, Jennifer Hudson visually debuts her single, “I Still Love You.” Released earlier this week (June 3), the award-winning songstress gives back to her fans of the LGBT community with the latest off of JHUD, joining forces with the Human Rights Campaign and W Hotel’s Turn It Up For Change campaign and Logo’s #All50 movement.
“I grew up surrounded and supported by the gay community and I just want to make sure I show them the same support and this is my way of doing it,” Hudson tells MTV. “This is the perfect way to show my support through my music and just be there to support because again the gay community has always been my biggest support system it’s just me showing the love back.”
The former Dreamgirl then shares her hopes for the video, aiming to share a “broader perspective of marriage equality” with its focus on love. J.Hud’s latest visual is just that—with a father hesitant to attend the wedding of his son, who marries his male partner in a festive interracial celebration, then comes around in a touching moment of acceptance.
