Yesterday (Aug. 5) via Instagram, singer Jhene Aiko unveiled the cover art for her long awaited LP, Souled Out. She also revealed that we won’t have to wait too long for the album since it will be dropping September 9th. So far, “The Pressure” and “To Live and Die” featuring the Cocaine 80s are the two leading singles for the project, which will be released under No ID’s Artium/Def Jam Recordings.
In her VIBE cover story, the LA-native spoke about what the overall experience of her album will be like for the listener. “This album, from top to bottom, sounds like you’re on a journey. Once you get to the last songs with my daughter, the songs where I’m talking about what life means,” she says, “it’s just enlightenment.”
After her album drops, the sailing soul hits the road for The Weeknd’s King of the Fall tour, which kicks off on September 19th in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclay’s Center.
