There’s one thing rap mogul Kanye West still asks himself: “How can one man have all that power?” Rightfully so, as he joins singer Lana Del Rey and CEO and Universal Music Group Chairman, Lucian Grange— who came in at number one, on the cover of Billboard’s Power 100 Issue. The list, based on the top 100 influencers in music today, include CEO of Roc Nation Jay Brown, President of North America Warner/Chappell Music Jon Platt and the CEO and Chairman of BET Networks Debra Lee.
“Lucian has such an extensive knowledge of music history, yet his eye is always on the future,” Lana Del Rey expresses to Billboard. “As artists, we’re lucky he’s at the helm.”
Also, Kanye West has a pretty busy week ahead. The rapper gears up for his Grammy performance, preparing for the launch of his first adidas collection during NYFW, and his headlining performance for Roc Nation’s Flatiron, NY takeover during NBA All-Star weekend.
