In honor of the their iconic and globally recognizable monogram that made them the powerhouse brand they are today, Louis Vuitton is “Celebrating Monogram” in a cool way.
This project celebrates the “distinctly personal side of the Monogram”, in hopes of “re-presenting something we think we all know in an extraordinary, individual and idiosyncratic way.” The celebration includes six contributors: Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Rei Kawakubo and Marc Newson, who all get their creative juices flowing, curating anything and everything imaginable to re-present the Louis Vuitton label with individuality.
Moreover, creative director, fashion designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld had one of the most interesting ideas and it wasn’t a chic grocery store. Lagerfeld got in touch with his more athletic side using boxers as his muse for the “Celebrating Monogram” mini collection with a boxing range fit for the #MoneyTeam. With a $175k luggage including a punching-ball, boxing gloves and bags it’s apparent that only Floyd Mayweather will be cashing out for this Karl’s cool capsule.
