Karrueche Tran may already have a daytime Emmy Award in the bag as a producer for the digital series, The Bay, but she’s already gunning towards her next big TV moment.
The rising actress has officially been nabbed for a spot opposite Niecy Nash in TNT’s pilot show, Claws, which is set in a South Florida nail salon. Karrueche will be playing an unabashedly sassy manicurist named Virginia, while Nash will play Desna Simms, the owner of the shop.
According to Deadline, the hourlong scripted dramedy—the project hails from Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s Le Train Train—is written and co-produced by Eliot Laurence (Welcome to Me) and taps into the same salacious vein as Desperate Housewives.
Kae could barely contain her excitement as she circulated the big news on her socials.
