Congratulations are in order for the royal family.
Only a year after giving birth to the couple’s first child Prince George, Kate Middleton and Prince Williams are prepping to be parents again.
“Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child,” Clarence House said in a statement, released today. “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
The house also reported on the absence of the expecting mother. “Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”
Like her first pregnancy, Kate suffers from Hyperemesis Gravidarum and will need additional hydration, medication and nutrients and she may also be hospitalized.
Their unborn will bump Prince Harry to fifth in line as he/she will take the fourth spot.
