Actress Keke Palmer has officially been told to shut up. The “Cinderella” star was put on vocal rest until her Broadway debut on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Keke posted the above photo to her Instagram account, showing fans how sad she is about putting her jaws to rest. She captioned the photo, “vocal rest till my Broadway debut Tuesday!! Agh!!!!!!” Though her face shows sadness, the 21-year-old talk show host is over the moon about her new role as Cinderella.
Keke is making history as the first African-American to play Cinderella on Broadway.
Sherri Shepherd was originally cast to play alongside Palmer as her wicked step-mother but after exiting the role, a new mean girl has taken her spot. Real Housewife of Atlanta star Nene Leakes has replaced Shepard for the role of the step-mother. This should all make for a very entertaining Broadway run.
“Cinderella” is scheduled to be on Broadway until January 3, 2015.
