Pro-Tip: Do not wear a Native American headdress… ever. Pharrell learned his lesson a few weeks ago, but Khloe Kardashian didn’t seem to get the memo.
This weekend at “Kidchella,” her niece Nori’s birthday party, Khloe decided to dress the part in a white feathered, Native American headdress. The reality star posted a picture on Instagram of her sitting cross-legged in a meditative pose with only nature and a teepee behind her. But while she was trying to become “one with water,” negative comments were rolling in.
Instagram user Amanda Baldwin let her offense be known, commenting, “Headdresses and teepees should not be used as party decorations in the first place! Those of us who disagree with this photo are tired of seeing headdresses, signs of honor and respect in our history and culture, being used as a ‘fashion’ accessory!”
But in true Kardashian fashion, Khloe is seemingly unapologetic about her choice in attire. The next day, she posted a picture with the quote surrounded by hearts saying, “you’re still going to get criticized, so you might as well do whatever the f—k you want.”
Should Khloe be drafting an apology or is all the fuss over headdresses being blown out of proportion? Flip to see her nonchalant response.
