The Single Ladies show must go on despite the departure of show creator Stacey Littlejohn.
Tuesday (May 21), it was announced that former Destiny’s Child singer Letoya Luckett and Damien Wayans will join the VH1 dramedy for its third season. According to the network’s press release, Luckett will play Felicia Price, founder and senior partner of the company April (Charity Shea) works for. Wayans will bring some testosterone to the story as David Berenger, a music manager and antagonist for April.
“Our viewers’ love affair with ‘Single Ladies’ got even bigger [in season 2], growing significantly from its successful first season and dominating its time slot on basic cable,” says Jeff Olde, Vh1’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Production. “We’re extremely happy that we’ll be able to give the audience another great season of the series and its honest, current take on love, dating and female friendship.”
Single Ladies’ third season will premiere this summer.
