On July 29, Moguldom studios released a documentary called 72%: A Baby Mama Crisis, which is a film about the increasing cultural crisis of single mothers in the black community. The 72 percent represents the amount of black children that are raised in a single parent household usually with their mothers. The film investigates the connection between slavery and colonization and the effect they have had on the black family unit, thus contributing to the cycle of single mothers of our current generation.
The purpose of this film is to bring awareness to the issue and spark the debate of the problematic concern in order to end the “epidemic” of a single parent household. Moguldom has been exploring more trending and relevant social and cultural issues in order to affect change and get people interested in implementing the necessary change. The film is currently available for digital purchase on Amazon.com, Googleplay.com, iTunes and Moguldomstudios.com. Watch the full trailer here.
