Naomi Campbell is the latest a-lister to land a role in Lee Daniels’ TV series Empire.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the supermodel will have a recurring role on the upcoming hip-hop drama. The story follows Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) as he tries to find a successors of his lucrative record label while battling for ownership with he ex-wife Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson).
The Face judge will portray Camilla. A much older woman that’s bedding with Lucious and Cookies’ young adult son Hakeem (Bryshere Gray), he is also in line to get his father’s business.

“Naomi is a beautiful actress. Underrated in my mind,” said Daniels about his friend joining the cast. “She will be wonderful as Camilla. I am truly thrilled to have one of my close friends join us.”
Naomi added to his words of encouragement with excitement of her own.“It’s an honor to follow in the footsteps of actresses like Halle Berry, Oprah, Gabourey Sidibe and Mo’Nique, and work with Lee Daniels. I’m looking forward to joining Lee and this amazing cast on set.”
