In one of the most crudely voyeuristic moves in celebrity journalism that we’ve seen thus far, TMZ has released the 911 call about Nicki Minaj’s recent incident in a Dallas hotel. Nicki adamantly dismissed claims that her rumored boyfriend, Safaree, attacked her and rumors swirled that an assistant was responsible for the hit that left her lip bloody. This call suggests otherwise.
Though muffled, you can make out Nicki screaming “Look what he did to my face” and a male saying “I want my f–king luggage.” The call substantiates TMZ’s original report that a man hit Nicki in the face with a suitcase at the Palomar Hotel in Dallas on July 12th.
True to form, Nicki isn’t taking kindly to the gossip and speculation. When news of the incident first broke via TMZ, Nicki tweeted “The fact that u believe a man either slapped or punched me in the face & didn’t leave on a stretcher w/ his balls hangin off? #getaF%cknLife,” and “The media could pee on ur leg & tell u its raining. You’d believe it. You’d believe u were an adopted martian if TMZ told u so. #stopit5.” Today, after TMZ released the call, she tweeted “Can u pls get off my penis?”
Whether TMZ’s reports are true or not, you have to lament the invasion of Nicki’s privacy, especially involving an incident that occurred weeks ago.

What do you think of the entire situation? Should TMZ stop releasing information about the incident? As a celebrity, should Nicki accept the fact that nothing is private anymore? Discuss.
