Mary J. Blige’s upcoming project The London Sessions continues to get better with every single released before its arrival on December 2nd. Her latest release, “Not Loving You” was penned by Sam Smith, but sounds reminiscent of her old work as MJB takes us to church with her message of self-love.
The subtle production of her latest piano ballad flows from start to finish, with Mary taking it up vocally over the course of three and a half minutes. Singing a powerful message to her significant other, MJB let’s her lover know the weight that’s on her heart in trying to save the relationship, but so much can be done if her lover isn’t loving themselves.
Mary ends the beautiful ballad asking a question we’ve all heard a time or two, “what are you gonna do now?”
“Not Loving You” is a must-listen by every vixen.
