As much as we love the fairytale love story (Jay Z and Beyonce), it’s the controversial ones that are our guilty pleasures. We’re either waiting for these bad couples to prove everyone wrong or to face more daggers when their relationships go sour. While some of our favorite most-hated couples are no longer together, we still love what they were. Here’s a list of our favorite controversial celebrity couples.

Chris Brown and Rihanna
When they were together we loved the way they showered each other with attention. Despite going their separate ways—which is for the best—they had chemistry that transformed into top-charting singles.

Ludacris and Eudoxie
Like Dwade, Ludacris surprised us all with his new daughter being born. However that didn’t stop us from loving his leading lady and hoping the best for them. He just reminded us that even celebrities make stupid choices, but how they handle them shows their real character. She’s definitely a keeper and he’d be stupid to lose her.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez
What we love so much about Olivier is his willingness to fight for his girl. While he should probably choose his words over his fists; he holds nothing back once his women’s respect is jeopardized. After his altercation with her baby father, Gabriel Aubrey, and the paparazzi, the public isn’t much of a fan of the couple but we can’t help but love them more.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith
We have always loved this couple even if tabloids are rooting for their demise. They are a good example of Black love and they try their hardest to maintain face through every issue thrown their way. A couple like this is rare in Hollywood and we want them to continue to upset the naysayers.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union
Their relationship has been full of controversy. From his first divorce fiasco and now baby mama drama, Gabby has been there supporting him every bit of the way. Many may not be Team Union/Wade and people are always in their business looking for ways to hate them. Somehow through it all we can’t help but love and root for their upcoming nuptials and future together as one big blended family!

When we first heard of these two getting together, we were among the skeptics. However after they’ve managed to deal with the paparazzi, her divorce, and a new baby on the way. After a year of devotion to each other, we are officially team KimYe.

Chris Brown and Karrueche
Chris Brown is a wild boy, as his many run ins with the law can attest to it, but Karrueche is the lady that calms him down. Through all their make ups and break ups, she has never shown a nasty side. She always supports him and endures the negativity and judgement with grace. With her milder side and his bad boy reputation, they make for a balanced relationship.

Brad Pitt shocked everyone when he left his wife for rumored co-star Angelina Jolie. While they’ve never admitted it, we eventually understood that Angelina was the better fit for him. While Jennifer Aniston was a good wife, it was Jolie that gave him life. We never love the side chick but there’s always an exception to the rule and Brangelina is that exception.

Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adam Housley
When we found out Tamera’s relationship with her white husband wasn’t received well by critics, we hurt with her because they display a genuine love for one another and their growing family. It’s upsetting that people can’t see passed color but we’re happy they don’t let other’s judgement affect how they feel for one another.

Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon
Bobbi and Nick’s foundation is very unconventional—he’s not her real brother but he was raised as family and then they fell in love. Although didn’t agree with their nuptials as first, as long as she’s happy, we hope for the best between them.

Joe Budden is a piece of work and Tahiry is the only girl that can deal with all his baggage. Proving she’s a ride or die, she’s helped him get through his drug addictions and always supported him whether they were together or not. The aficionados of ‘make up to break up’, we’re rooting they make it official and she makes a honest man out of Joey.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick
When we first met Scott, we hated him. He seemed to take advantage of Kourtney without a care to what America thought about his actions. But over the course of the years, we started to grow a liking to him, and their on-and-off relationship has gained our respect.
