Will President Barack Obama endorse 2016 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton?
According to TIME, he likes her, but has yet to officially endorse her, for now. The two have a long history together to say the least. Remember their head-to-head battle during 2008’s Democratic presidential candidacy?
During a recent press conference in Panama City, Florida, Obama did praise Clinton saying, “I think she would be an excellent president and I’m not on the ballot. I’m not going to step on her lines. I’m confident she’ll be very clear about her vision for the country moving forward.”
But during an interview with WBNS on Monday, he stopped short of officially vouching for her voicing, “It’s a little early for an endorsement since she just announced yesterday. But here’s what I can say. She is talented, tenacious, was a great Secretary of State, she is a friend of mine and I think she would be an excellent president.”
Well, looks like only time will tell if Obama will endorse Mrs. Clinton’s campaign.
