February is shaping up nicely for Rihanna. First the launch of her fashion line with River Island, and now today marks her 25th birthday and the announcement of her collaboration with MAC Cosmetics.
The first item to hit shelves will be RiRi Woo, a bold red lipstick spawned by Ruby Woo, Rihanna’s favorite MAC red lipstick. The lipstick will launch simultaneously with Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour concerts in May at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The four collections, known as RiRi [Hearts] MAC, will launch throughout this year, showcasing her signature on the rose gold packaging—including on the RiRi Woo lipstick case, on the bullets of the summer lipsticks, and on an array of holiday items.

“When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind—for something legit—is MAC,” said the singer during an exclusive interview with WWD. “Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.”
According to WWD, the summer collection also includes two more lipsticks, a Lustre Drops shade and a powder blush duo. The Fall season will present four lipsticks, a lipglass version of RiRi Woo, two multi-shade eye shadow palettes and false lashes. Holiday will bring another 10 items, including nail polish, a makeup bag and additional lipsticks.
