Nicki Minaj has always been known to turn heads with her fashion and her latest spread with Roberto Cavalli accomplishes that notion, once more.
In the midst of reinventing herself, she underwent a fashion make under from her colorful wigs and gaudy outfits to simple styles and one-color tresses. Now, she’s taking on high fashion as the face of Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
Looking regal and vibrant, the rapstress—who’s currently owning the music industry with The Pinkprint—posed delicately in the designer label over a bare background. The entire shoot was shot by Francesco Carrozzini and Cavalli was more than pleased to turn Nicki into the face of his brand.
“I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman,” Roberto raved. “In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes. With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong countertrend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves, rather she make them as a strength.”
