Your pumpkin spice latte is about to get a serious makeover.
In a surprising collaboration, sister designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy behind the brand Rodarte are teaming up with mega coffee company Starbucks to design a collection of assorted coffee mugs, reusable sleeves, tote bags and gift cards for the holiday season. In a non-traditional set of holiday colors and patterns, the collection’s signature design will contrast various shades of green against a pixilated checkerboard of gray, white and silver.
No strangers to collaborations (Rodarte has partnered with Opening Ceremony, Target, the film Black Swan to much acclaim), Laura Mulleavy shared her thoughts with the AP, “When we are thinking of Rodarte, we choose things that say who we are as designers, but we’re not limited to that. We like the idea of collaborations and putting our thought process somewhere else.”
This is Starbucks’ first partnership with a fashion brand. The limited edition of holiday goods will be available November 13, retailing in stores and online for affordable prices of $4.95 to $12.95.
