Never to be seen as just Beyoncé’s little sister, Solange continuously proves that she’s a force to be reckoned with.
Last night (Oct. 24), Ms. Knowles debuted her highly anticipated EP, True at an intimate listening party in the heart of SoHo, New York. It’s no surprise that her brother-in-law Jay-Z was in attendance along with a small group of press and Solange’s close friends. As the tracks poured through the speakers, big sister Bey was spotted dancing the night away and reveled in the success of her kid sister. Bottles of Armand de Brignac (or Ace of Spades) diligently flowed into champagne flutes as every one hit the dance floor to celebrate Solo’s success.
The 7-track list of True includes: “Losing You,” “Some Things Never Seem to Fucking Work,” “Locked in Closets,” “Lovers in the Parking Lot,” Don’t Let Me Down,” “Look Good With Trouble” and “Bad Girls (Verdine Version).”
The album is set to drop on iTunes on November 27 and the first single off the EP “Losing You,” is an infectious and upbeat song about a love gone astray was released earlier this month. –Jasmine Aspinall
