At one point or another, we’ve all braved the daunting terminals of a major airline hub in heels with baggage in hand; relishing those first few steps as we become empowered by our fabulousness. Then, one hour and 2 miles of moving walkway later, we regret our decision to rock those pretty little pumps and curse ourselves for checking the luggage in which our comfy flats are contained. We must give props to the minority of vixens that refuse to be caught in anything short of 4 inches while jet setting. However, for the rest of us traveling comfortably does not have to mean compromising style.
Here are some tips for traveling practically while preserving your sexy.

1)Keep footwear simple.
Aside from wearing shoes comfortable enough for lengthy terminal treks, your footwear should also be easy to slip on and off. No one wants to be the girl holding up the TSA line because her strappy sandals have way too many straps. Avoid shoes with buckles altogether. Trendy flats and wedged boots are just some of the many options that are perfect for airline commutes.

2)Never forget your essential scarf.
An extra large scarf typically used for accessorizing can also double as a blanket. Lightweight scarves with bold prints work best for they can brighten up any outfit, work well in most climates, and make great beach sarongs.

3)Layer clothing to create more space in luggage.
When traveling to cooler climates, rocking layers is key. The more clothes you wear, the more space created for shoes in your suitcase. Layering the right pieces can also create a chic and trendy look.

4)Avoid wearing jeans
Although most denim pants contain some percentage of elastic, staying seated for a long duration of time can cause “saggy jean butt”. Leggings, riding pants, or long skirts are far more comfortable and more in vogue.

5)Keep makeup light and bright
There’s just something about that cabin air that makes dry skin drier and oily skin oilier. Avoid wearing heavy foundation and eye makeup, opting for a bold lip with mascara instead. Should you must wear foundation prior to take off, use a makeup remover towellete to cleanse the skin while seated. You can always give that pretty little face a proper beat down at landing.
