Northeast Ohio Media Group has obtained extended surveillance footage of the fatal shooting of 12-year-old Tamir Rice on November 22, 2014. Rice was playing with a airsoft gun when a pedestrian called 911 on him. The caller wasn’t sure if the gun was real or not and that call resulted in Cleveland Police arriving to the scene and killing him within two seconds.
In this new footage you will see Tamir’s 14 year old sister run towards the police, only to be stopped and forced to ground, handcuffed, and placed inside a patrol car. Reports from the Associated Press report she was running to Tamir after she heard the gunfire.
In addition to the cuffing of Tamir’s sister 10 few away from where he was lying, the Cleveland Police Department did not seek medical attention for him until 4 minutes after the shooting.
