Could you see Taylor Swift singing, “All my life I want money and power/Respect my mind or die of lead shower/I pray my d**k get big as the Eiffel Tower/So I can f**k the world for 72 hours”?
We couldn’t either but apparently singing Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” helps the country/pop singer when she is in a stressful situation.
In her cover story for Rolling Stone, she was being hounded by excited and overzealous fans and the scene was described as scary but Swift was able to keep her composure. The story reads: “You want to know a trick to immediately go from feeling victimized to feeling awesome?” she says. She pulls out her phone and hands me the earbuds: “This is my go-to.” Taylor Swift presses play, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” fills the speakers. She then smiled and told the writer, “I know every word.”
In case you forgot the words to the song, peep Kendrick’s video below and then read her full cover story here.
