Everyone knows the key ingredient to any Cinco de Mayo festivity is tequila. But, if your favorite local watering hole is too crowded, create your own fun. “An easy and delicious recipe is to combine two parts Tequila Avión, with 1 part fresh lime juice and ¾ parts agave nectar,” says Ken Austin, founder of Tequila Avión, whose lifelong passion is premium tequila. “Shake and pour over ice for a perfect Cinco de Mayo drink.”
And let’s not forget the snacks. “My favorite snacks happen to be the staples,” says Austin. “Fresh guacamole and chili con queso with fresh or store bought tortilla chips. If you want a little kick, add jalapeños to the chili con queso.”
