A peeve is a feeling of resentment that may lead to feeling uncomfortable. A pet peeve is an annoyance that strikes a specific nerve, puts us in a bad mood and pushes us to the limit. We all have our list of distinct peeves. Here is a list of some common ones that may or may not tickle a few of your nerves.

2. People with obnoxious laughs
Those loud, unnecessarily obnoxious drawn out laughs that you can hear from a mile away.
3. People using your belongings without asking
People shouldn’t touch things that don’t belong to them.
4. Dishes in the sink
Messy people in general are just a pet peeve as a whole, but dishes in the sink are especially annoying. The kitchen and the bathroom should be the cleanest rooms in your house, so make them look presentable.
5. The juice is finished
When people drink the juice to the last sip. The juice is done, yet they are still trying to suck that last sip through their straw, creating that weird vacuum noise with their mouths.
6. Clicking the pen
Some people have the most annoying habits.
7. Don’t sleep on me
That awkward moment when a stranger takes a nap on your shoulder when you are sitting next to them on the train.
8. Back Up
There’s no need for anyone one to walk behind you unless they are plotting to rob you (hopefully they aren’t). It’s annoying and it makes you feel like you are being followed—just walk around.
9. Stop staring
It’s impolite and awkward. Feeling someone looking at you and then when you look back at them, they still look at you, so all you can do is look away and hope they look away, too.
10. Open mouthed chewers
Something might fly out and it’s disgusting.
11. Leaving the cap off the toothpaste
Most things have tops to protect or to keep fresh, so why not utilize the caps? Toothpaste can easily make a mess if you leave the top off and nobody wants to put germ-y paste in their mouth, so just remember to close it.
12. Getting interrupted
It’s wack when you are interrupted and unable to finish what you were saying. It throws you off and sometimes you even forget what you were about to say.
13. People who ask “Can I ask you a question?”
You just asked me one, you fool. If you want to ask a question, just go for it; it doesn’t need an introduction.
14. Double dipping
This is exactly how diseases are spread.
15. Hair in the sink
No body wants to splash their face in the morning with refreshing sink water and then open their eyes to a nasty stringy hair breakage in the sink.
16. Popping gum
Blowing bubbles and popping gum is so high school—hang it up.
17. Get your own food
Don’t you hate when you offer to buy someone food and they turn it down, but then ask you for your food when they see you with it?
18. People who don’t know when to leave
You don’t have to go home, but…
19. People who don’t return things
It’s called “borrow.” It wasn’t a gift and I certainly did not give it to you to keep. If you ask to borrow something, just return it in a timely matter. It’s annoying when you have to borrow something back.
20. People who laugh out loud at text messages
Try to hold it in because no one else is in on the joke and the evil looks you’re getting are because of the disbelief that anything has ever been that funny.
