Vixen certainly knows how to heat things up!
We recently heard about the male entertainment website, Rent-a-gent.me, and decided to have a few of the gentlemen come by the office to “hang out.” That’s right: for $300/hr, you can rent a guy to accompany you on your lonely ventures; appeasing the single woman still in search of her prince charming.
Surprisingly, they were everything a woman could dream of in a man; good looking, fun, intelligent, talented and oh: they can cook! Romeo (which seems fitting) and Ray showed us why they’re well worth their pricey rate while engaging in two hour play time. What came from this visit? Amazing chocolate chip pancakes, strawberries, whipped cream and a subtle serenade from Romeo (in the blue shirt).
Stripped down in a comfortable setting, the men weren’t intimidated by our aggressive set of questions about the life of an “escort (a term they immediately debunked).”
Flip the pages and let your Rent-A-Gent envy sink in.
Where do girls take you on a date?
Ray: Typically like galas or some extravagant event.
Romeo: Yea, I’ve been to museums and most recently the opera.
Do you guys enjoy yourselves? What do you do if you really hate the girl?
Ray: You have to lie. You can’t let the girl know anything is wrong.
Romeo: Yea, but there’s actually good convo to be honest. You end up doing something different or learning something.
What if there isn’t an attraction? Or if she tries to kiss you?
Ray: Oh, we don’t let them do that stuff. I let them know up front sometimes.
Romeo: You gotta be on guard always. But I don’t let that happen. There’s a way to be charming and dance around it.
So sex is completely off limits?
Romeo: Yea, a line is drawn.
Okay, but say you both had a few drinks. Wait, do you drink on the job?
Romeo: We have a couple of drinks, but not to the point where we’re impaired.
Ray: Yea, we enjoy ourselves, but we don’t become incoherent or a dysfunctional drunk. We drink to have a good time.
Is it possible to fall in love on a date?
Ray: Umm….. it has happened, but you always have to stay professional at the end of the day.
But after the professionalism ends – when you’re off the clock; can you then pursue the woman?
Ray: (laughs) Like I said, we always have to be professional no matter what.
Romeo: Yea, it’s a job. You can’t mix business and pleasure.
Technically, it’s both. So the girls that you meet as escorts; you can’t have a relationship with?
Ray: We’re not escorts.
Romeo: Oh, no – we’re definitely not escorts.
I’m sorry, what is your label?
Ray: We’re entertainers! We don’t escort; that’s a different type of thing.
What’s the difference so that people don’t make this mistake again?
Ray: Okay, escorts are like….. I don’t mean to come off this way, but the women we date, these aren’t just your average joes. These women are very wealthy. You saw our rates!
Oh yes! $300/hr! Who is buying men for this rate?
Ray: Yea, so it’s like a targeted market for specific women. It’s not the girls out of college or anything.
So what do you do that’s so different from other men, that these women feel the need to pay a boatload?
Ray: We’re just a form of entertainment for women. Let’s say you want to go to the movies – we’re just another option.
Romeo: Or if you want to go see a show with someone; that’s us.
Is there any limitation to what activities you’ll do?
Ray: We’re pretty much down for anything. I’m uncomfortable with heights, but if she wants to skydiving – I’ll do that.
What! You’re willing to risk your life on the job? Skydiving may be a bit much.
Romeo: Listen, you risk your life everyday walking down the street (laughs).
Do you have to be well-versed in different topics for conversational purposes?
Romeo: It helps to know what you’re talking about. You have to be interesting. Some women like politics, some like sports. The topics vary.
Ray: Say for example a woman wants to have a full blown conversation about musicals, I can tell her “look, I don’t know too much on this subject, so you may need to school me.”
What’s the process like for becoming a Rent-A-Gent?
Ray: What I gather is that you want someone who can communicate, because not everyone is social. To be able to converse with all types of women. I know they did a test on us to see if we were put in an uncomfortable position, would we know how to still have a presence in a room.
Do you do your own dating outside of this? How could a woman understand this?
Ray: It’s a job.
And if she made you choose?
Ray: I’d choose my job. If I meet someone, you can’t just expect me to quit my job.
Romeo: It’s a compromise, too.
Has your job ever been a conflict in your personal life?
Ray: For me, no.
Romeo: No, not at all. Because I’m single, so it’s not an issue to do what I do.
