I had the pleasure of going to GBK & Pilot Pen’s Luxury Style Lounge last month and I was highly impressed. As I listened to a nice blend of beats from DJ Max Power I glided through a room of fashion bliss. The variety of brands and infusion of fashion put our love for beauty and style over the edge. After receiving a plenty of brands to try and give our take on, I’ve pin pointed the best of all the companies I saw. Jane Basch
Let it be known that name jewelry is coming back in style which is why when I met the company Jane Basch, I was beyond ecstatic to hear more about the brand. I was shown various different monogram pieces that I was highly impressed with. And then they set me up to receive one and please note that when it finally arrived, it doesn’t disappoint. I’ve been getting a lot of praise over my necklace and many are asking where they can get one from. It’s a sophisticated upgrade from my previous name bling.
Hard Candy
I’ve always been on the fence with Hard Candy. Compared to other brands of make up, I’ve always opted to diss Hard Candy for the other names. However not anymore. Not only was I given a quick makeover that had me looking for anything to turn into a mirror but the scents, tints, and overall appeal of their new line made me want to trade some of my old brands for the new candy. I’m subtle when it comes to my face and they have something for every type of girl. Plus they also have additional bright colors on their palettes if you want to add edge to your usual safe face, which is what I love.
Soniclear
Clarisonic users, meet your better competitor. I love(d) the Clarisonic but Michael Todd True Organics has become my new best friend. While there, I was shown the differences between both and before I left I was already sold on Michael Todd’s brand. However talk is cheap and the real test was in usage. After using it for a few weeks, I’ve put my thumbs down on Clarisonic and thumbs up to Soniclear. It’s softer on my skin and it’s cleaner. Being the first antimicrobial sonic skin cleansing system, it keeps it’s brushes clean over time and doesn’t build up with bacteria. The best part is, it’s much cheaper than Clarisonic so even my pockets love it.
Skinny & Co
Better hair care and healthier living is my main focus this year so coconut oil has become my best friend. As you may already know it’s filled with many nutrients that aid to better quality everything. Skinny & Co produces Skinny Coconut Oil which is the only 100% raw, supplement grade coconut oil in the world. I’ve been using it for a few weeks in my hair, I’ve cooked with it, and even in my shakes and the quality of this particular brand over it’s competitors is tremendous. My hair is less dry and feels less brittle and it’s aided in my energy levels.
16 Water
If you don’t think water has a taste, keep scrolling because you won’t see the importance of 16 Water. This water is naturally purified through 16 layers of volcanic bedrock from the island of JeJu off the coast of South Korea. It’s taste is very refreshing and from a girl that only drinks certain brands because water really does have distinct elements and taste about them, I recommend stocking up on these bottles.
Palace Resorts
Thinking about vacation? Think about Palace Resorts. They gifted me with a vacation to Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico. While I haven’t taken the trip yet the place is five stars. From the brochures that feature a dolphinarium, 14 restaurants, and multiple pools to Tripadvisor ratings, I’m already impressed by their quality of vacation living.

Pilot Pen
I was surprised to learn how intertwined Pilot Pens are within fashion industry. From their first Pilot Pen-dress to strut down the runway to their MR Animal Collection in which the pens are styled with animal prints, if you need to take it old school with a pen and paper, the best way is through Pilot. Having used their new products like their FriXion Clicker erasable pen—that really does erase like new—it’s a yes for us with pilot products.
