TGIF wasn’t the only place where kids could catch up on their favorite shows during the ’90s, Nickelodeon was also home to some of the best comedy sitcoms. All That, Clarissa Explains It All and Kenan and Kel were among some of the network favorites. Kenan Thompson (Kenan Rockmore) and his best buddy Kel Mitchell (Kel Kimbie) kept viewers on their toes with their teenage antics. Kel’s love for orange soda and Kenan’s constant scheming made the show an instant classic.
12 years after the shows end, it seems like fans will never get the long awaited reunion between the cast. If we can’t reunite them in person, we can certainly do so in writing. Check out where they are now, and in the words of Kel, “Aw, here it goes!”
Kenan Thompson: Kenan Rockmore
As one of the main characters of the show, Kenan has continued to remain in the spotlight after almost 20 years. From roles in Goodburger and Fat Albert to SNL, he certainly fulfills his legacy of making people laugh.
Last year, Kenan married his longtime girlfriend Christina Evangeline and continues to star in his 10 year run on SNL.
Kel Mitchell: Kel Kimble
The second main character of the dynamic funny duo continues to remain relevant while still being a family man. After the show, Kel starred in Goodburger and did voice over work as Clifford the Big Red Dog.
In 2006 rumors that Kel died surfaced, thankfully they were false. Earlier this year he remarried rapper Asia Lee. Presently, he plays the voice of Jay Jay on Nicktoons Wild Grinders.
Vanessa Baden: Kyra Rockmore
The former annoying little sister of Kenan and puppy love stalker of Kel is all grown up. At 27, she has earned a degree in sociology from Florida State University.
Taking a seat behind the scenes, Vanessa launched her own production company called Hometeam Entertainment. She also has a web sitcom called FAIL and signed on as producer for the upcoming film The Magic City.
Ken Foree: Roger Rockmore
Ken took a break from the horror genre to be the fun loving father on the hit sitcom. After the show ended, he returned to horror and starred in The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween and Shaun of the Dead. Currently, he is beginning to prep for the release of horror flick The Lords of Salem.
Teal Marchande: Sheryl Rockmore
When the show ended, Teal took the backseat and focused on family life. She has not acted professionally since 2000, but she remains active as an empowerment speaker and loving mother.
Dan Frischman: Chris Potter
Everyone’s favorite socially awkward boss went back to his first love of magic upon the shows end. He performs shows around the country and owns a production company where he works on projects with his ‘Head of the Class’ co-stars, and current TV producers Brian Robbins and Dan Schneider.
