Chance The Rapper has been hot on the scene since Acid Rap dropped. While his own mixtape more than earned him the shine he got, the Chicago rapper has also built his name and reputation up through his collaborations.
He’s bulked up his repertoire by venturing out into different genres, joining forces with the likes of Justin Bieber and TDE singer Sza, but also stuck to his rapping roots by working with artists from Ab-Soul to Joey Bada$$ to Childish Gambino. While we wait for him to drop another fire project that can follow up Acid Rap, here are 10 rappers we think should collaborate with Chance The Rapper right now.

Lil BibbyWhy He Should Collaborate With Chance The Rapper: Lil Bibby is another young independent Chicago rapper coming up the ladder quick with his own unique, grown sound despite the fact that he’s still only 18. The two are no strangers to rapping about certain substances, while Bibby is on the side of being the seller and Chance prefers to enhance his mind with some weed and acid. With these two complete different types of artists coming out the Chi, who focus on two different sides of the drug world, this would be interesting to hear.

DrakeWhy He Should Collaborate With Chance The Rapper:Drake recently did a little shout out/possible diss towards Chance on “Draft Day,” his response to Jay Z’s “We Made It” remix. While in the song he says, “If I left it up to chance, I’d have a name like Chance The Rapper/No disrespect because I don’t know that n***a.” Well, Drizzy, maybe it’s about time you do. Even though Drake does have a tendency to rob the entire song of almost every feature he does, we think Chance could hold his own alongside the OVO king. It would be a surprise to fans, that’s for sure.

Big K.R.I.T.While Chance and K.R.I.T. joined Rapsody on “Lonley Thoughts” back in September, we’d love to hear something with just these two getting in the booth combining their own unique styles. Young Krizzle is an incredible producer, crafting most of his own beats on his mixtapes and albums, and we’d love to hear what Chance would do with more down south sonics. The two independent artists both know how to kill a feature very well, so putting them together is bound to be fire. With Cadillactica on its way, we can only hope that Chance might make an appearance on the album.

Nicki MinajWhy He Should Collaborate With Chance The Rapper:Nicki recently dropped a single featuring Chicago up and comer Lil Herb where she goes back to her roots and comes hard alongside Herb. After hearing that, it’d be really interesting to see what she would do on a track with an artist like Chance. She did say at the end of her and Lil Herb’s “Chi-Raq” that she’d give her fans some more. Maybe a collaboration with Chance could be in her arsenal? Her goofy nature can definitely complement Chance’s similar personality when it comes to some of his tracks.

Schoolboy QJust last year, Q tweeted his respect for Chance’s hunger for success, encouraging him to eat prior to his release of Acid Rap. Looks like Q knew before Acid Rap dropped just exactly what Chance was capable of, something that many can’t say. Chance is still slept on even after the wave Acid Rap caused, but that doesn’t mean he’s completely overlooked. Since Q knows just what Chance brings to the table, it would be something to see what these two could cook up together.

Kendrick LamarBetween Chance’s unique sound and crazy ad libs and Kendrick’s knack for changing his voice and making his own sound effects, Kendrick and Chance would for sure make an interesting collaboration. The two could make a serious, hard-hitting track like the second half of Chance’s “Pusha Man” or Kendrick’s “Sing About Me, Dying Of Thirst.” They could even do it like Chance’s “NaNa” with Action Bronson and just have a good time keeping it upbeat and hear another verse like Kendrick’s on “Fuckin’ Problem.” Regardless of the concept, it’s suffice to say that these two would throw out something pretty killer if they were to get together for a song.

J. ColeThere’s been some hints that this collaboration may have already happened. Which would be awesome because these two rap geniuses would kill a track together. Chance previewed a track on Toca Tuesdays last month where towards the end of his verse, just after the hook repeated for the second time, you hear a very familiar voice. Doesn’t seem like it could be anyone else but until the official track is dropped, we’re just sitting here hoping these two made some music magic together.

CommonJust a few months ago, Common jumped on a song with Ab-Soul and excited fans by hearing him not only make a little surprise appearance back into the hip-hop world but with none other than our favorite abstract asshole. If he can do that, then why shouldn’t he join his fellow Chi-town native on something?
With Chance’s complex lyricism, Common could view the collaboration as a lyrical playground. “I like that he raps with flavor,” Common recently told VIBE. Maybe Common should get a taste of just what Chance is doing with his style of music. This would be a track that we would be geeked to hear.

Kanye WestAnother Chicago rapper who would kill a song with Chance would be, of course, Yeezus himself. We all know Chance has been influenced by Kanye, since he sampled Ye’s “Freshmen Adjustment 2” on his “Good Ass Intro.” Kanye can tackle any type of music style and even when it’s not your favorite, you can’t say you absolutely hate it because you know we’ll be catching you singing along to it later. Also, we have to wonder would Chance be able to stand up next to a rap god like Kanye and not be completely forgotten in the song? It’d be a challenge for the rapper but one we’d love to see him conquer.

Tyler, The CreatorThese two young, up-and-coming rappers should get it in the works to do something together. Tyler, with his harsh, fearless way of rapping whatever he feels like saying could definitely bring out a more daring side of Chance. Not that he was ever playing it very safe, though, to begin with. Whether Chance would take on Tyler’s style or if Tyler would stray away from his signature, brash way of rapping would be cool to see. Even if the joint was just a perfect balance of the two, this would be worth a listen for sure. The two were photographed in the studio together back in February, but unfortunately Tyler took to Twitter to let fans know that no recording went down. Hopefully, that will soon change.
