Reason #1: It’s a Tyler Perry flick. Trust us, people aren’t expecting all that much from Kim.
No shots at Mr. Perry. We respect his relentless grind and the fact that he’s turned “Directed By Tyler Perry” movies into a thing. Love ’em or hate ’em, there’s definitely a market for them out there. Thing is, no one walks into a Tyler Perry movie expecting to see Academy Award performances. They walk into them knowing exactly what they’re going to get. So, with that said, Kim isn’t going to be expected to be a great actress in the film. If she’s even decent, it’ll be huge for her and will probably earn her a chance to act in other movies. It’s a low-risk, high-reward scenario that could pay off big-time in the end if she plays her role right.
