Last night, football fans watched and waited to see which college football stars would make their NFL dreams a reality. But only one pro prospect had his own theme music curtsey of his big homie, Drake. Johnny Manziel waited in the NFL Draft greenroom as 21 teams picked players ahead of him. Usually steadfast in the face, Manziel was a little nervous until he heard his name called and Cleveland made him the future of their franchise.
As a city, Cleveland needs more young energy and Manziel’s just the person to bring it. He may not bring his team a title anytime soon, but he just might Cleveland an important player on the sports media/entertainment side again. Read along to find out how.

Drake Will Openly Be A Cleveland Browns Fan
Drake gets a lot flack for switching sides with his sports fandom, but now that his young homie Johnny is the leader of the Cleveland Browns, his football allegiance won’t waver. Drake was so hype when Manziel got drafted, it was as if the NFL commissioner called his name. It’s not slouch thing to have Drake on your team. We’ve seen what his wave can do in the NBA. He was a part of NBA All Star weekend and stayed in the headlines and camera view during the playoffs. Shit, he even made lint rollers popular.
Lint rollers, b.
Manziel got a shout out from Drake while still on the college level. He might let Manziel jump on a track if he wins a few games or, better yet, rookie of the year.

Nike Now Has Two Young Stars In Cleveland
Cleveland doesn’t exactly have the greatest sports history, but they are in pretty good shape for building towards the future. Don’t forget that Kyrie Irving inherited the Cavaliers once LeBron James jetted to Miami. The Cavs might not be that great yet, but Irving is a budding star for both his franchise and his shoe endorsers, Nike. He’s considered by many to potentially be next in line for a signature shoe once Kobe Bryant calls it quits. That potentially means two signature athletes in the city of Cleveland for the Swoosh, which can’t be underestimated. Hard to find a brand with better marketing and there’s certainly opportunities for cross branding with the two young kings of Cleveland.

LeBron James Might Return To The Cavs
This might not have a whole lot to do with Johnny Manziel, as there’s been speculation about LeBron’s next move once his contract is up with the Heat. Having his little homie in town, especially if Manziel does well, might sway LeBron decision just a bit. First and foremost, LeBron’s about business. Secondly, he’s about his family. Manziel’s made his way into the fold with Bron and Drizzy. Who knows what kind of money making moves the two could cook up in Cleveland together.

Other Stars Will Want To Play With Him
If he’s nothing else, Johnny Manziel is exciting. He’s not playing for money, he’s playing to conquer. Everything he does is major and he loves the spotlight. The only way you stay in the public eye is by winning and what do winners attract? Other winners. Cleveland isn’t exactly a free agency hotbed, but just like OVO Johnny will bring in more fans, he’ll attract better players to the Browns.

He’s Knows How To Party
Remember that kid in college who could party all night, get hammered, wake up for his 9 a.m. test and pass it with flying colors? Johnny Manziel is that kid, only his test will be every Sunday on the football field. The NFL is a whole new level of speed, size and skill when it comes to opponents. That means Manziel might be on chill for a little, but he’ll be back to his usual turntness once he figures things out on pro level. Is he big enough to turn Cleveland into a party destination? He might have to win chips before that happens, but if anyone can, it’s Johnny Football.
