Caitlyn Jenner served another fabulous debut, but this time on the small screen. Fans and curious viewers tuned in for an insightful hour-long view into Caitlyn’s newly transitioned life during the season opener for E!’s I Am Cait series on Sunday night (July 26).
The transgender icon previewed the series last month, building the anticipation for the long-awaited docuseries. She lived up to the hype with Episode 1 where Caitlyn’s beloved family members pay her a visit, including Kylie Jenner, Cait’s mother, Esther, and Kimye. Kanye even shared a touching moment with Ms. Cait as well, praising her for her courage.

“You couldn’t have been up against more,” the rapper said. “You’re a celebrity, you have every type of thing, and it was still like, ‘F**k everybody, this is who I am.'”
Here’s what we learned from the series premiere of I Am Cait.
Caitlyn once contemplated suicide
Caitlyn revealed a very personal moment when she considered killing herself. In connection with the surge of transgender suicides, Cait said she could empathize with the kids who think that suicide is the answer because during very dark moments in her life, she would be in her home with a gun, having those same morbid thoughts. “I have been in my house, with a gun and said, ‘Let’s just end it right here. No more pain. No more suffering. That struggle, it’s real, and I’ve been there.”
