Indeed, urban culture was exploding bigger than ever 20 years ago, and VIBE was right there documenting, its oversized print dimensions a perfect canvas. Afront the mag’s pages in 1994 was the ever-enigmatic Prince, TLC in firefighter garb, a scandal-revealing R. Kelly story and ‘Pac in a straitjacket.
