It’s Super Bowl Sunday! And that can only mean one thing: It’s time to call the guys over, cook up a tray of hot wings, crack open a couple of cold ones and get ready to watch….the commercials!
Yeah, we’re sure the game—between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers, by the way—will be pretty good. And we’re glad to see that a hip-hop act, the Black Eyed Peas, will be gracing the stage for the NFL’s halftime show for the first time since Nipplegate. But, let’s face it: If it weren’t for the commercials (and all the props bets—c’mooooon, heads on the coin toss!) we probably wouldn’t be half as interested in the big game as we are.
In order to get ourselves even more amped for kickoff, we decided to take a look back at 10 of our favorite Super Bowl commercials of the last decade. After all these years, these spots still make us LOL every time. Now let’s get ready for some football!—Chris Yuscavage
The Company: Budweiser
The Commercial: The “What are you doing?” guys
What Made It So Great: It marked the end of those incredibly annoying “Waaaaaassssssuppppp?” guys (ugh, makes you cringe just thinking about it, doesn’t it?) and put a pretty funny spin on it at the same time. Well played, Bud.
