The LA-based, luxury brand, BUSCEMI is taking jet-setting to a whole other level. On Friday (January 22), the accessories brand launched its Spring/Summer 2016 collection in collaboration with the Paris boutique, Colette.
The collection, which is the first time the brand has collaborated with the luxurious Parisian brand, will feature a limited-edition series of unisex silhouettes and footwear.
Founded in 2013, the Colette is well known for its men’s and women’s accessories and leather goods that showcases the progressive culture and style.
Prior to its launch, designer Jon Buscemi teamed up with the founder of the Colette retailers, Sarah Andelamn, to create an exclusive collection of 24 sustainably-printed, leather sneaker. And putting the final touches on the collection, each piece will be finished with the brand’s specially crafted, techniques and signature, gold padlocks. In the collection’s cohesion, it displays the fusion of street expression with couture fashion.
“The inspiration comes from the classic Martinique palm pattern so famously used throughout the world at highly coveted hotels and clubs. We re-appropriated this print to match the iconic colette blue as an ode to truly being yourself.” said BUSCEMI designer Jon Buscemi.
At the heart of the collection is the limited-edition, blue Martinique calm sneaker (pictured above). The sneakers will be retail priced at $1190USD.
