With Lollapalooza celebrating 25 years, it’s only right that a few homegrown acts hit the stage. Chance the Rapper, Dwyane Wade, and Michelle Williams surprised fans on Thursday (July 28), to kick off night one of the four-day festival.
The three joined fellow Chicago natives and DJ duo, Flosstradamus, for an unforgettable stage moment courtesy of Bud Light Music.
“It feels good to be home Chicago,” D-Wade told the roaring crowd before introducing Williams who sang her verse from “Survivor.” And just when fans assumed the surprises were over, Chance hit the stage with “No Problems.”
The hometown crowd was so lit, Chance performed another cut off his acclaimed mixtape, Coloring Book. In contrast to “No Problems,” he opted slowed things down a bit with a rendition of “Summer Friends” (sans Jeremih).
