The ready-to-wear contemporary brand Hanifa by Anifa Mvuemba debuted its summer 2022 collection on Tuesday night (June 21) with a virtual runway show. As one of the first fashion companies to initiate the digital trend, Hanifa delivered an immersive experience for viewers, displaying the new collection on an array of models of all shapes, ethnicities, and sizes who strut fiercely down a runway flooded with water. The collection, named “Live Out Loud,” is described in a press release as “an expression of joy, celebration, and wonder. Intense color and feminine shapes.”
“As we continue to explore new avenues of creating for women without limits, we found that the 3D virtual world gave us a lane of our own to innovate and think outside the box,” expressed Anifa Mvuemba in a statement. “Through this collection, we hope to inspire others to ‘live out loud. It’s important to believe in yourself, love what you do, and let that passion inspire you. That – to me – is the true embodiment of the Hanifa woman.”
