Last Thursday (Oct. 8) businessman and entrepreneur, Troy Carter was presented with the prestigious V.S.O.P Privilège Award from liquor company Hennessy at the We Work Bryant Park Ceremony in New York City.
The night was filled with a slew of business powerhouses like Bill Rancic and Alex Blumberg. They were there to announce Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege Lab’s collaboration with WeWork, which is a new partnership that offers a year of mentorship and free office space in New York City for emerging business starters. You can apply to this at Hennessy.Create.It. starting on Thursday (Oct. 15) until November 19.
Mr. Carter is an early investor for some of your favorite mainstream startups like, the car service app Uber; the music streaming service Spotify; and the ground breaking file sharing application Dropbox, among many others. And tonight (Wed 14) he will make his debut as guest shark on ABC’S Shark Tank. In addition to his participation in these operations, he was recognized by the cognac company for taking an innovative approach at re-defining entrepreneurship and mentorship—with the launch of his new endeavor, SMASHD Labs.
The new business venture is designed to offer a ten-week training program for those entrepreneurs in entertainment, media, culture and technology in Carter’s Atom Factory in Los Angeles. This is in hopes to help those accelerate their growth and build up their ideas. The programs runs from September 14-November 20, 2015.
And as recently posted in a video on Instagram by Revolt TV’’s head honcho Sean “Diddy” Combs, you can also catch Troy at the Revolt Conference this weekend (Oct 15-18) speaking about his come-up in the business.
