This year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival was many things to many people.
For some, it was a chance to see some of the biggest names in music (Kendrick Lamar, Earth Wind and Fire, Childish Gambino, Alabama Shakes, Billy Joel, Chance The Rapper and many more came out to play). For others, it was the chance to try their hand at a camping lifestyle. But for most, the most memorable part of the experience was the people they called Bonnaroo neighbors for a little under a week.
It’s an American festival staple to see beachwear-clad people walking around with blunts and other substances at hand. And they were there. But there were dancers and painters, water slides and silent discos, infinite smiles and plenty of high fives to go around. The makers of the Manchester, TN fest take pride in the positive vibes that hover around the farm grounds, and that truly was the biggest takeaway.
They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, so for those who physically missed out on ‘Roo, here are a million snapshot memories to get you ready for next year.
