Colombian sensation J Balvin and Mexican songstress Becky G shook the block Thursday night (Oct. 1) at their highly-anticipated “La Familia” tour stop in New York City. The Playstation Theater in Times Square hosted a sold-out show to fans of both talented artists. The Inglewood native opened the show with fan favorites “Break A Sweat” and “Shower.” The Empire wild card also flexed her rapping skills with an original freestyle of her own.

The crowd’s anticipation heightened as the band prepared for J Balvin’s grand entrance. The heartthrob was greeted with a collective roar, made of up voices from around the world. Balvin hurdled through hits like “Ginza,” “Ay Vamos,” and his Nicky Jam-assisted “Travasuras.” During his set, Balvin treated fans to a dope freestyle over Dr. Dre’s “Still DRE” and a guitar instrumental cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” How cool is that?
