Moving to America is no easy journey for a kid no matter where you come from. The culture shock, the language, the rude ass people and the judging eyes from other children can be an instant overload for even the strongest human.
However, for Jamaica native Kranium, adjusting to the Big Apple lifestyle was a breeze. Sure it didn’t hurt that he moved from the Caribbean straight to the West Indian community of Jamaica, Queens, but imagine if you were plucked from a tropical island, straight to the concrete jungle. Exactly!
To get a better understanding of what the ride was like for Kranium, VIBE followed the Dancehall star back to his alma mater, Jamaica High, to discuss what it was like to be the new kid on the block . Turns out he also lived directly across the street from he institution where he spent 4 long years of his teenage years.
