If you’re not familiar with Major Lazer, now’s the time to get familiar. The supergroup created by DJ/producer, Diplo, is comprised of music heads, Walshy Fire and Jillionaire, whose diverse musical influences have made for delicious ear candy at their live shows. No strangers to soundtracking summer and the most turnt of affairs, the Mad Decent group touched down in downtown Las Vegas for their Friday night set for Sin City’s annual Life Is Beautiful Festival (Sept. 25).
Before bringing their talents to the Ambassador Stage, Walshy Fire directed the vibes at the #ToyotaMusic Den for an intimate dance party. It was a Snapchat-worthy moment for Fire, who said, “This is gonna be the most emotional snap I’ve ever done,” before setting off a cumbia version of the Skrillex and Diplo (a.k.a. Jack Ü) jam “Where Are Ü Now” featuring Justin Bieber. He also employed DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win,” Sean Paul’s “Get Busy” and the Major Lazer summer jam “Lean On” for maximum litness.
Shortly after, Jillionaire and Walshy united for an impromptu photo shoot for the VIBE camera. Catch their photogenic bromance above and a special message from them below.
