Stuart Scott’s lip service to sports broadcasting changed the game. Famous for his swaggy catchphrases “Boo-Yah!” and “cooler than the other side of the pillow,” the longtime ESPN anchor, who came on-board at ESPN2 in 1993, remixed the on-air lexicon with his flair and hip-hop references.

The Chicago native’s lengthy battle with cancer sadly came to an end Sunday (Jan. 4) as he passed away at 49. Here, we remember some of his coolest career moments.
