Even the most loyal Apple customer (including myself) wanted to be in one of two undeniably special places at this year’s Lollapalooza Festival – in front of the Samsung Stage main stage and inside the Samsung Galaxy Lounge.
Returning to the high-profile, annual music festival held in the heart of Chicago’s Grant Park, an exclusive group of festival-goers were treated to tons of new, immersive experiences including virtual reality, fun games, giveaways, and more for Lollapalooza’s 25th anniversary, thanks to the global technology brand.
During the eventful four-day festival, Samsung set up shop with its cooly-curated experience at the VIP Galaxy Lounge which boasted of an unforgettable time. For festival-goers interested in giving their Instagram and SnapChat followers major FOMO, the combination of small bites, refreshing spirits, and a great view of the Samsung Stage while jamming to the sounds of J. Cole, Kehlani, G-Eazy, and many more was a major plus.

Perfect for techies and within steps of the iconic Buckingham fountain, the VR-Palooza area allowed fans to live-stream shows and create shareable moments with the brand new Gear 360 through virtual reality experiences like 4D VR surfing, skateboarding and hot air balloon. For those looking to score exclusive goods, the Samsung Pay Vending Machine allowed visitors to win cool Galaxy-branded swag from hats to backpacks to much-needed ponchos.
