Samsung Brings A Virtual Reality Experience To Lollapalooza

If you’re a Samsung loyalist attending Lollapalooza, then you were in for a treat.

The global technological brand kicked off the 3-day annual weekend by offering festival-goers fun, immersive ways to check out the latest devices. With numerous wireless charging towers to listening stations, guests experienced the newest devices like the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy Note 4.

With perks like singing karaoke with friends and creating custom designed mobile accessories using the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy owners who downloaded the Samsung Milk Music app received a complimentary voucher for food trucks with chances to win Lollapalooza tickets, devices and accessories.

Users also had a chance to upgrade their experience to the Samsung Galaxy Owner’s lounge where select Samsung Galaxy owners had a chance to hear Gary Clark Jr.’s upcoming album The Story of Sonny Boy Slim (set to be released on September 11) with the Samsung LEVEL On headphones at the Samsung Galaxy Owner’s Lounge.

But the most interesting aspect was being able to live-stream sets on the Samsumg Galaxy stage via a new virtual reality experience, the Samsung Gear VR. For the first time ever in music festival history, visitors of both the Samsung Galaxy Experience and Samsung Owner’s Lounge were able to view performances from the Samsung Galaxy main stage in virtual reality.

Viewers of the fully-immersive Samsung Gear VR experience were transported to the main stage for an unforgettable, up-close-and-personal performance from artists like SZA and Alabama Shakes.

Outside of the Owner’s Lounge, the Samsung Galaxy Artist Lounge also welcomed a number of other artists like Theophilus London, Kaskade and Joe Jonas. Flip through some highlights of Samsung’s one of kind experience at Lollapalooza 2015.
