Just like the Maybach vehicles, the exclusive Maybach eyewear collection are hand crafted in Germany with luxury materials like lacquered wood, leather, natural horn, carbon fiber, platinum, carbon fiber, titanium as well as 18-karat white, yellow and rose gold. These handcrafted glasses also have other personable details modeled after the maybach cars like the arms of the frames embellished with the Maybach logo.
The Maybach brand pays homage to Wilhelm Maybach, one of Germany’s first automotive engineers who passed away in 1929 at the age of 83. He designed the first car that bore a Mercedes badge in 1901; Wilhelm Maybach built the car that heralded the modern era.
